The 8th Grade girls solve a murder mystery which contains a variety of evidence, clues and suspects. Paper chromatography is used to analyze pens, simulated blood analysis is used to analyze blood stains from the crime scene and gel electrophoresis is used to match DNA from the crime scene. The girls employ critical thinking with Forensic methods to solve the crime.
Technology: The girls are simultaneously storyboarding their process of solving the crime to make a computer game. Their game will incorporate the scientific methods and critical thinking skills that are needed for the player to solve the crime.
